introducing the Teacher Host

the TEACHER HOST was introduced on May 14 2016 through an experiential conversation around "adolescents and learning" with a diverse multidisciplinary group of educators and learners.  The primary attention was given on the process of learning, and the learning environment ..

Here,  you get in touch with the energy of being more enthused, uplifted, energized, validated, inspired, happy, joining appreciation and trust through a collage of precious moments spent at a creative learning space: nSite.

The ingredients for a Teacher Host were shared:

the Invitation co-initiating
the Learning Environment - space and place
the Arrival -  welcoming
the Session - holding the theme at the center and cultivating the learning environment
the Language of Connection - listening and sensing
the Harvest – integrating  and storytelling
the Completion – reflection, appreciating and transitioning
A seed was planted for the future of creative learning and hospitable education.

Heart Minded Learning Communities

What is Heart Minded Learning?
What is Heart Minded Community Engagement?
Where did it all start?
Who is invited?
What practices nurture and support the process?
What is the role of leadership?
How is the alignment of vision with the core values reached?
Who is the teacher host?
What are the capacities, skills, technologies to be activated?
Who holds the center?
What is the process flow?
What are the enablers?
Who are the translators ?

Cultivating Reflective Spaces ... Remembering the seed

On September 29th 2015, I attended and participated at the TEDxHamraStreet event around Good Governance curated and hosted by Sara Sibai. Following a mind opening TEDxWoman Talk by Zahra' Langhi, I found myself standing and sharing the story of the first community project I initiated in 2009 after leaving the lebanese public sector: Community Voices. Here is a snippet of my improvisation - Hala
